m.i.s. compiles this pan-European urban/black dancefloor chart since week 1/2001. The chart is based on existing national urban/black charts. Due to the lack of valid specialist sales-based charts in this genre, it’s components include national deejay feedback-based lists only. At the current stage, all information from the national charts is a summery of 1000+ deejay reports and is the biggest available sample of it’s kind anywhere. Also, all national charts are used by kind permisiion of the original compilers to guarantee the availability of all national charts on a permanent basis.

Methodology
The pan-European urban/black dancefloor chart is based on existing national charts detailled as below (chart sample). Weighting factors are:

• market size of territories, based on IFPI statistics
• size of chart sample of each individual chart used, i.e. number of reporting deejays
• international impact of urban/black markets, i.e. which territories generate the most impact in Europe (this is country-share based on the latest regular year-to-date charts by counry-of-signing), figured in from 2002 on.
